Open Your PowerPoint Presentation

Launch PowerPoint and open the presentation where you want to add music. Click on **File** and select **Open** to browse for your file.

Select the Slide for Music

Navigate to the slide where you want the music to start playing. Click on the slide in the left pane to select it.

Insert Audio

Go to the **Insert** tab in the ribbon. Click on **Audio** and select **Audio on My PC** to choose a music file from your computer.

Choose Your Music File

In the dialog box, browse to locate your desired audio file. Select the file and click **Insert**. The audio icon will appear on your slide.

Set Playback Options

Click on the audio icon, then go to the **Playback** tab. Choose whether you want the music to play **Automatically** or **When Clicked**. Adjust other settings as needed.
