Open Your Excel File

Launch Excel and open the workbook that contains the data you want to check for duplicates.

Select the Data Range

Click and drag to highlight the range of cells that you want to check for duplicates.

Access the Conditional Formatting Menu

Go to the **Home** tab on the ribbon, then click on **Conditional Formatting**.

Choose Duplicate Values

In the Conditional Formatting dropdown, select **Highlight Cells Rules**, then choose **Duplicate Values**.

Set Formatting Options

In the dialog box that appears, choose the formatting style you want to apply to the duplicate values, then click **OK**.
