how to freeze a row in excel

Open Your Excel Spreadsheet

Launch Excel and open the spreadsheet where you want to freeze a row.

Select the Row Below the One You Want to Freeze

Click on the row number on the left side of the screen to highlight the entire row immediately below the row you want to freeze.

Access the View Tab

Navigate to the **View** tab located in the top menu bar of Excel.

Click on Freeze Panes

In the **View** tab, find the **Freeze Panes** option. Click on it to reveal a dropdown menu.

Select Freeze Top Row

From the dropdown menu, click on **Freeze Panes** to freeze the selected row. The row above will now remain visible as you scroll through your spreadsheet.
