Open Your Google Sheets Document

Navigate to Google Sheets and open the document where you want to lock cells.

Select the Cells to Lock

Click and drag to highlight the cells you wish to lock. You can also click on the column or row headers to select entire columns or rows.

Access the Protect Range Option

Right-click on the selected cells and choose **Protect range** from the context menu.

Set Permissions for the Locked Cells

In the sidebar that appears, enter a description for the protected range. Then, click on **Set permissions** to choose who can edit the cells. You can select **Only you** or customize the permissions for others.

Save Your Changes

After setting the permissions, click **Done** to apply the changes. Your selected cells are now locked and can only be edited by users you specified.
