Step 1: Click ‘Customize and control Google Chrome’ at the top right of your browser.

Step 1: Push your phone's ‘volume up or down’ using any of its buttons.

How to Turn on Live Caption on Google Chrome?

You can quickly turn on Live Caption using the Global Media Controls. Here’s how to turn it on:

  1. Navigate to a page where this is audio or video playing.

  2. Click the Global Media Controls icon on the top right of the browser. It will have three lines with a music note next to it.

  3. Tick the option to turn Live Caption on at the bottom of the window.

Can I Customize the Live Caption Settings?

You can customize the live caption settings. You can hide profanity, hide laughter and applause and label, and hide the icon. You can turn off the auto-play option if you want more control over the live captions. Go into your browser preferences and uncheck play captions automatically.

Can I Use Live Captions While Making a Call on my Android Device?

You can use live captions during a call if you're using a Google Pixel phone and on an Android device. If you're not using a Google Pixel phone, you can't use live captions on your Android device during a call.

Does iPhone Provide Live Caption Service?

iPhone provides closed captions, subtitles, and transcriptions to help you watch videos. To turn this feature on or off, follow these steps:
