If you meet one of the following criteria, you can start or stop recording a Teams meeting:
Office 365 Enterprise E1, E3, E5, F3, A1, A3, A5, M365 Business, Business Premium, or Business Essentials.
Not a guest or anonymous user
Not from another organization
Has recording enabled by an IT administrator
Please note the following about starting or stopping recordings through Teams:
Recordings through Teams will stop automatically when everyone leaves the meeting.
Recordings will continue for up to four hours.
Recordings will continue even when the individual who started the recording leaves the meeting.

There are multiple ways to record Teams Meetings on your computer. Here are a few of the best ways to record Teams Meetings on PCs.
Using Microsoft Teams
Download the Teams desktop application on Microsoft Team’s home page. Click ‘Download for Desktop.’
Open your Teams meeting. If you have an eligible Office account and are the meeting organizer, you can record the Teams meeting by clicking on the meeting controls, then ‘Start recording.’ Repeat this process and click ‘Stop recording’ or simply leave the session to end the recording.

How to record Teams Meetings on mobile devices

Download the Screen Recorder - XRecorder app on your mobile device by looking for it in your phone’s app or play store or clicking here for the Google play store or Apple Store download.
Use the recording function by looking at the top of your phone’s screen. After installing the app, you’ll find the following options located at the top of your mobile device’s screen. Click ‘Record’ to start recording and open your Teams Meeting session.
Look for the orange circle at the top of your phone’s screen to check that your recording has started. Next to the orange circle, you’ll also see a recording timer showing how long your recording has been. End the recording by tapping the orange circle at the top of your phone’s screen.
Share or download your Teams Meeting right after you’ve stopped the recording. After ending your recording, the video recording will pop up on the screen, and you can save or share it.
How to record Teams Meeting as a guest
If you are a guest in a Teams Meeting, here are a couple of ways to record a meeting without an eligible account and recording permissions, or if you want to record the Teams Meeting secretly.
Using Loom
Loom is a free screen recording service available for both PCs and Mac. You can also use Loom to record video and audio on iPads, iPhones, and Android phones.
Go to Loom.com and create a free account.
Click “Record A Video” from your Loom dashboard to begin recording your screen. You can also open the Loom extension in the top right corner of your web browser to bring up the following menu (see the second image). Click “Record A Video” or “Start Recording” to begin recording your screen.
Open your Teams Meeting. Double-check that Loom is recording by looking for the following message at the bottom of the screen.
Click ‘Stop Sharing’ to end the Teams Meeting recording. Then, Loom will automatically bring up the following screen where you can download, share, and rewatch the recording.
Using Vmaker
Vmaker is another free online screen recorder that can help you easily record your Teams Meetings. To get started recording Teams Meetings as a guest, take the following steps:
Download Vmaker.
Start your Teams Meeting and click the Vmaker icon in the top right corner of your screen to bring up the following menu options. Click ‘Start Recording’ to begin recording.
Double-check that Vmaker is recording by looking for this message stating that Vmaker is recording your screen on your Teams Meeting. When you’re done recording, click ‘Stop Sharing.’
Download or share your Vmaker Teams Meeting session recording by clicking the share, download, or copy video link button on the following screen. The share or download screen will immediately appear after you click ‘Stop Sharing’ to stop the Vmaker recording.
How to record teams meeting with audio only
The Notta Bot is a great way to record Teams Meetings audio. Please note that the Notta Bot is only available for premium members.
To use the Notta Bot, take the following steps:
Login to your Notta account and go to your main dashboard. Click ‘Join Live Meeting’ on the right sidebar. The following pop-up will appear. Enter your Teams Meeting URL to prompt the Notta Bot to enter your meeting.
Open your Teams Meeting and wait for the Notta Bot to appear in the Teams Meeting lobby. Click the checkmark next to it to allow the Notta Bot to join and begin transcribing and recording your session.
Check that the Notta Bot has entered the meeting. The Notta Bot will appear like a typical guest in your call. The recording will end when you end the session.
Check your Notta dashboard under ‘Recent Recordings’ to see your Microsoft Teams Meeting recording. Notta will automatically transcribe your meeting. From there, you can click on the meeting under ‘Recent Recordings’ and download, share, replay or export the audio.
How to play, share, download, or save a recording
Playing, sharing, downloading, or saving an audio recording of a Teams Meeting will largely depend on how you recorded the meeting initially.
If you used Teams to record the session, take the following steps:
Go to the Details tab of the meeting event in your Teams calendar and click on the recording.
Click the play button or ‘More actions’ to open the recording in OneDrive or SharePoint.
If you used a different program to record your Teams Meeting, take the following steps:
Login to your account with that program.

How to transcribe a Teams Meeting recording

Locate your uploaded file under ‘Recent Recordings’ and click on it.
