How to Convert Dropbox Video to Text
Create your Notta account and log in via Notta for web. Head to your dashboard (the house icon on the left). From here, you’ll see a toolbar on the right-hand side with a few options. Click ‘import files’ and a window will pop up with the option to upload files or import from a link.
Log into your Dropbox account and copy the link next to the video file (or copy the URL from wherever the link was shared with you). Paste it into the ‘import from link’ field on Notta and it will begin to transcribe immediately.
Once your video transcription is ready, click on the recording in the list on your dashboard. From here you’ll find the audio from the video in a player at the bottom, with the full transcript including timestamps and speakers. Feel free to edit the words, add notes, and name the speakers. Download your transcript as text, click the download icon in the top right and choose .TXT as the file format. Rename the file if you want to, and check advanced options to include speaker names, timestamps, notes, a shareable Notta link, and merge the text into one paragraph. Click ‘export’ to save the file to your device.
